Our Story
We were established with a view to doing things differently. Recognizing that family vehicles, heavy trucks, and farm machinery could be repaired with more quality, integrity, and respect for customers in Southeast Manitoba and the Winnipeg area, Laurie McNaughton took matters into his own hands and launched McNaughton Mechanical Service Inc. in 1990.
Laurie started out as a mobile mechanic, working out of his truck. But within two years, demand had grown to the point that a stand-alone shop was needed. So he built one himself. Not long after that, Laurie brought on additional employees to handle the workload. Meanwhile, his son Ethan was already working in the shop as a teenager.
Today, McNaughton Mechanical Service is co-owned and operated by Laurie and Ethan in Niverville, MB. We’re still growing, but our foundation of honesty, reliability, and hands-on expertise is as strong as ever. We’re proud to serve the hard-working families, businesses, and farmers of Southeast Manitoba with high-quality work and outstanding customer service.
